As a child, Andrew spent his summers in Tombstone, Arizona, working on a ranch. He grew to love Arizona and in May of 1961, after serving in the Marines, he moved to Phoenix. When he first started looking for a job, Andrew wanted to become a machinist. As fate would have it, he took a position polishing jewelry instead. This led to a 30 year career creating jewelry for his own store. Andrew Designer in Gold was a well-known and celebrated Scottsdale jewelry store. Though he is modest to admit it, over the years he has created jewelry for some extremely influential and distinguished people. In 1991, he retired from the store and helped his son, Mike, and daughter-in-law, Kelly, open Scottsdale Bead Supply. Andrew now creates at his own pace and continues to cast custom chains, toggles, and pendants for both Charveaux Gallery and Scottsdale Bead Supply.
